There are thousands of brow products and services within reach to be used with the purpose of achieving lush and thick brows. But once you’ve been through every brow gel, pencil, pomade, stencil and powder and still end up with sparse brows that take up 30+ minutes of your time every day, you’re looking for a more permanent option. For these reasons and more, people everywhere are turning to microblading for that permanent solution.
Microblading, once a few and far between procedure, has blown up on social media over the past couple years, and for a good reason. It’s obvious that women are searching for a solution to their daily struggle. Eyebrows are one of the most important features of the face. Eyebrows frame the face and eyes, for a more attractive, natural look, make you look younger, bring balance to your face and they play a vital role in nonverbal communication. Our eyebrows enhance the facial expressions we use to convey anger, fear, sadness, happiness and other emotions.
Microblading allows people to achieve the perfect look all the time. Imagine waking up with perfect brows. Not having to spend 30 minutes carving around your brows with concealer and going back in with a pencil over and over until it drives you crazy. We’ve all been there. It can be difficult to get even brows when you’re the one drawing them on. Microblading eliminates all of that stress first thing in the morning. You wake up looking fresh and youthful with brows made perfectly to match your bone structure.
Your artist will want to meet with you for a consultation. The consultation is a great time for you to ask all of the questions you might have about permanent cosmetics, and the process of getting microblading
Your artist will have you fill out client information forms. These client forms will ask questions about your basic information (address, phone number, date of birth, e-mail address, emergency contact information etc) as well as questions about your medical history and current medical conditions. Your artist will go over all of this information with you to ensure that it is correct but also to ensure that it is safe for you to receive a permanent cosmetics procedure in your current medical state. Once all of that is checked over, and you have given consent for your artist to perform the procedure, your artist will answer any questions you have. Be sure to bring a list of questions, and write down any of your artists answers for your records.
Once you have filled out all of your client forms, your artist will take before pictures and then take you back and begin the pre-numbing process. After the pre-numbing has been left on the area for 20 minutes, your artist will draw on the shape and pick a color, and ask for your approval. Once you have decided on a shape and color you love, your artist will begin the microblading process.
Unlike other permanent cosmetics procedures, Microblading involves the use of a state-of-the-art hand tool that lets the artist create thinner, more precise, hair-like strokes, ingrained into the dermis layer of the skin. The procedure can take up to an hour once the artist starts microblading. You may hear a scratching sound, and feel a tingling sensation on your eyebrow area, but should not be in any pain. The artist is careful to make sure to numb the area well and numb throughout the procedure when appropriate.
You will leave the facility with a gorgeous, fresh set of brows, hand crafted for you according to your bone structure and skin tone. There is no risk of infection in a facility which uses single-use, disposable products only, but there is a risk of infection once you leave the facility. You must make sure to tend to your aftercare: using your aftercare cream at least 5 times a day, keeping the area dry, being sure to not get the area wet when in the shower, and don’t touch the area. Once your skin is completely healed, you may return to your normal skin and makeup routine.
